| What
has ELFA Membership done for me? |
>>
ChoiceAdvantage pricing was reduced and tiered to reflect
different needs of smaller and larger properties as well
as extending incentive program and transition process
from ChoiceCentral. HSIA Default notices for those properties
either unwilling, or unable, to comply with tight constraints
of deadlines were delayed to the end of November.Rules
& Regulations – annual review of procedures
and policies. Suggest updates and changes. Examples: Bath
Tub Grab Bars and Automatic Door Closures. New standards
forth coming.Market and Reservation Center Budgets –
constant evaluation and monitoring of expenditures. The
ELFA Board has spent many hours going over the budgets
and financials as soon as they were made available to
us. We hope to move these discussions to increasing our
advertising media purchase at a higher percentage of the
budget than where it is currentlyRe-imaging / Logo Survey
– conducted, evaluated and tabulated a survey of
our membership on this topic. We have formed a ReImaging
Task Force which visited Choice headquarters in November
we should have more information made available by Choice
Hotels on this issue.Co-op Marketing – ELFA and
the ROA join CHOC’ s Task Force and Choice Hotels
to further evolve the Regional Co-op Marketing Programs
into the most effective and efficient level.Developed
and distributed an easy to use “ELFA/ROA Tools”
on CD for all members to utilize at their properties.
Including an Employee Handbook, Job Description, In-Room
Directory and other valuable tools.Fall Regional Meetings
- assisted with planning and development of 2005 and 2006.
ELFA is currently working with our CHOC and ROA partners
in securing higher funding for Co-op programs for 2007,
and on organizing and implementing Fall Regionals for
2007 which will be smaller, remain affordable, and for
almost all of us, will be held closer to home so you won’t
have to fly.ResCoach – recommended ResCoach Front
Desk training and call monitoring to be expanded to include
Econo Lodge. The newly formed Economy “Be Our Best”
Customer Care Advisory Committee will join CHOC and Choice
in discussions on all future education initiatives. Guest
Satisfaction Survey – We are monitoring and evaluating
customer satisfaction benchmarks as it is integrated into
QAR. This process is still in its infancy for Econo Lodge
and we would appreciate any input the members can give
us on their experience.Dedicated and funded the A. Lewis
Allen and Sandhya U. Patel Memorial Garden at the Choice
Hotels Reservations Center in Minot North Dakota.Convention
– Preparation and organization of the Roundtable
Meetings, Specific Economy Brand Education sessions and
Membership Meeting. As well as the ELFA – ROA Convention
Reception – All members were invited to our annual
ELFA Reception and from the look of things, everyone showed
up along with Choice Hotels Senior Management team. We
look forward to our reception in 2007! |
